Your browser program under history usually has the Title/Location of sites you visited. Clicking to open these sites {after disconnected/offline}- unless expired; may display some graphics & text of some web pages. While others may show text only & you will have to connect again to access any details of some sites.
Microsoft Internet Explorer {V5.0} Browser can save complete web pages. Try to open important -saved pages in your folders while online to check okay; Due to errors sometimes occurring. When using Netscape Navigator/Communicator Browser- if you want all contents of a web page displayed for future referral- then print out while online or save pictures + graphics files separately that you need to refer to.
If you want to access a web page offline- continuously then save these pages. They won't expire unlike bookmarked pages or those under history. You can also while connected/online in future open the page or site from the saved file; {when do so also suggest press refresh/reload}; as long as you don't change the original/defaulted htm name.

These have been banned in Victoria but are still used
extensively overseas where most research and development
of new products takes place.
LD50 Test
Animals (usually dogs or rats) are force fed or forced to inhale huge
quantities of substances like hair dye, face powder, toothpaste and
even household cleaners until 50 percent of the animals die. The test
results are of dubious scientific significance.
Animals display symptoms of poisoning vomiting, diarrhoea, paralysis,
convulsions and internal breeding. Many of the animals die, not from
poisoning, but from burst or ruptured intestines caused by the
forcefeeding process, Studies range from 14 days to 6 months.
DRAIZE EYE TEST
Concentrated substances, like shampoo, are applied to the
eyes of restrained unanaesthetised animals, usually rabbits, This
involves terrible, long-lasting pain with swelling, discharge, blistering
and destruction of the cornea.
DRAIZE-PATCH TEST
Often referred to as a simple skin test" (& admitted to by many
manufacturers) this test involves the immobilisation of
unanaesthetised animals in restraint devices. The animals' skin is
shaved until raw and the test product (such as deodorant or
after-shave astringent) applied. Resulting reactions include
severe burns. Restrained throughout the test, animals have
been known to struggle in pain so intense that they
break their own spinal cords.
Are there alternatives to testing on animals? {keeping in
mind that testing on animals has been proven to be of
no benefit to human safety levels for safe use of
products {where tested on animals}. This is due to the fact
that humans and various animals have different body
makeup: with skeletal, organs, etc.

as culture tests. computer models & human volunteer trials.
Here are some examples:
Skintex/Eytex replaces the Draize rabbit eye irritation test.
Eytex is a protein culture test which can predict eye irritation
in humans. The raw test substance is placed in contact
with a prepared vegetable protein solution.
The degree of protein damage shown by the opacity
of the solution allows a safety rating to be determined.
Neutral Red Assay:
Normal, living human cells are exposed to a raw ingredient
or cosmetic product to which a neutral red dye
is added - the greater the damage to the cells, the lesser
their ability to take up the dye.
The Skin Squared Test:
uses a simulated 3-dimensional structure made of
human cells to test a substance's toxicity or irritancy.
The Microtox System:
uses luminescent bacteria
as test organisms; the less light is emitted,
the greater the toxicity of the test substance.
